The Rode NTG4+ is a directional condenser microphone that's based on the successful NTG2. It has a brand-new condenser capsule, however, that's characterised by low noise, high sensitivity and three handy controls. Its built-in battery lets you record audio for 150 continuous hours, without having to use phantom power (which still is an option, however). The XLR output features a USB connector, which lets you charge the battery within two hours.
The Rode NTG4+: Professional recordings
With its high-quality super-cardioid capsule, this shotgun microphone picks up sound in a highly accurate and directional fashion, making it fit for creating professional speech recordings. If the sound source is too loud, the pad button comes in handy, as it lowers the sensitivity by 10 dB. The high-pass function counters low frequencies - one press of a button and everything below 75 Hz is left out of the recording. Via the XLR output, the NTG4+ sends the sound in broadcasting quality to your camera or mixer. The presence of a battery precludes the need for a phantom power supply.

De Rode NGT4+ en de shockmount (ring clamp) de perfecte combinatie voor het ultieme geluid bij het filmen.
echt een handig ding en zeer makkelijk te installeren. de accu die erin zit gaat voor mij gebruik lang genoeg mee. ik raad dit product zeker aan anderen aan.
Zeer mooi product en super handige eigen accu die gemakkelijk op te laden is middels standaard gsm aansluiting of power bank.
De accu gaat redelijk lang mee voor een hele opname dag.
Buiten: Windbeschermer is echt een must als je een redelijke opname wilt maken in de natuur of op straat. Ik raad hiervoor de Rode Blimp MK2 aan.
Binnen: Degelijke microfoon, ook aan te sluiten op DSLR camera's met het juiste kabeltje (niet inbegrepen). Gebruik wel echt een windbeschermer voor optimale opnames.

What an excellent Shotgun microphone. I bought it for using with my Zoom H4n Pro Black. The non plus version has only phantom power which uses the batteries on the H4n so I bought the NTG4+ . This version has a built in Lithium battery which once charged (only took less than 2 hours)lasts up to 1500 Hours!! Plenty for a recording trip out and about.
It's a solid microphone too .Well made with a 10 year warranty which i've asked Rode if the battery is covered by this and it is.I also bought a WS6 (windshield) which is a must .
The sound is incredible (my first semi-pro microphone) It has a really low noise level and a really narrow field which is great for directing to where you want without too much side or back interference.I has a -10dB switch for loud situations .A high frequency cut and a high frequency boost for use with a Ws6 or rode Blimp .Basically 10/10 and i'm a 100% Happy Shopper . Just Buy One you wont regret it!!
